How to make downloads faster?

My internet should be able to download up to 150kb/sec but mozilla downloads only 50kb/sec

Did you check your security software (firewall and anti-virus)?

Those programs may be checking the content causing that limitation or restrain the downloads in other ways.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
