I forgot to mention this only happens on firefox nightly, I've regular firefox and chrome and they have worked fine.

So I have this issue as well when I was updating Plex to test videos worked after an update. I check the about:config and had media.hardware-video-decoding.failed set to false. If i change it to true videos work again. I'm not sure what changed in the latest Nightly release that could be causing the issue.

Same probplem. Solution with media.hardware-video-decoding.failed helped, thanks. Disabling hardware acceleration also helped, but then everything started to lag.

I have this problem as well, and the fix "fixes" it temporarily. Every time I restart my computer I have to keep redoing the about:config thing anyway around tha?

And if you update today? support.mozilla.org/questions/1613456

It should be fixed in Nightly. No need to turn HA off.

It's been fixed for me now, thank you
