SOME pages consistently taking 30+ seconds to load
Slow website loading (30+ seconds) on some websites (the same ones) for over a week now. Have tried MANY things. No issues with MS Edge loading the same sites. Using Windows 10. Data copied. Help please.

Hi
Do you have an example of one of the sites that is not working well for you?
I entered Troubleshooting Mode and the above pages still take 20-30 seconds to load. This page also took a long time today: https://www.lifewire.com/check-dns-settings-5215603
Most other sites load quickly/instantly.
Can someone help me? Or should I switch to Edge, or back to Chrome?
indeed.com is not loading at ALL today in Troubleshoot Mode (or regular mode). It loads instantly in Edge.
douggoesshopping, have you tried the latest Firefox version, 143.0.3?
According to the release notes: "Reduced long delays when loading certain websites while connected to networks that block UDP connections. (Bug 1980812)"
So I was wondering if this helps in your case?
Hmm...well it wasn't available until you posted that. I downloaded it. Unfortunately, the same issues are occurring ... and the delays were even worse today: 40 seconds for one site (that was previously taking 30 seconds), and 2+ minutes for another (I actually gave up on that one). Most other sites are loading normally.
Do you have any add-ons installed?
What level of Enhanced Tracking Protection do you have set?
Extensions I have:
- I don't care about cookies
- LastPass
I also have uBlock Origin but it's currently disabled.
Enhanced Tracking Protection is set to "Standard."
douggoesshopping, yes, the new version was only released within the past day or two. Sorry that it didn't fix your issue.
Have you tried clearing all data for the sites by, for example, finding a site entry in history, right-clicking and selecting "Forget About This Site…"? (But make sure to read the notice that pops up first, before proceeding with the clear)
Or have you tried testing the sites in a new clean profile?
Modified
I haven't tried all that. I have limited time to fix things that should generally be working. I'm going to switch to Chrome for awhile. I'll check back with Firefox in a few months to see if the problems have been fixed.
