When I click the little arrow in the address bar I get a list of URLs to websites I visit but I have no control over which ones are there or what order they are in. How can I fix this?

If you have history enabled, type a few letters for that website. example: YOUtube.com

If you mean the arrow at the far right of the location/address bar then that drop-down list shows websites you typed or pasted in the location bar ordered by frecency (frequency and recency).
