Bonjour, Pourquoi actuellement tous les messages que j'envoie avec ma messagerie Thunderbird depuis mon compte FREE sont-ils identifiés comme spams par mes destinataires GMAIL ?

Good morning.

A few days ago the "Junk" folders in my Thunderbird accounts, without any action on my part, were suddenly renamed as "Spam" folders.

Anyone know why this happened?

I am using Ubuntu 26.04 with Gnome 50.1 (kernel 7.0.0-28-generic). I installed Thunderbird 1:140.13.0+build1-0ubuntu0.24.04.1~mt1 amd64 from source (140.12.1esr).

When I receive an email, I get a system notification where I have an option to "Mark as read" or "Delete". For most emails, if I click on "Mark as read", the email will be marked as read. However, Thunderbird has the feature to automatically put emails into Junk. And if I click on "Mark as read" for emails that are going to be automatically put into Junk, the emails will remain unread. It would be nice to mark the junk emails as read when I click on the button.

Using version 21.0 on Android 15 on a Motorola Stylus 5G 2024 phone. For the last week or so, selecting "Empty Trash" for my ymail.com account results in nothing happening. I have to log into yahoo.com via my browser and manually delete emails in the "Trash" folder.

‘spam filters do not work. After 18 years of putting up with it I want block senders and sender ip's WHAT IS UP? WHY DON"T YOU FIX THIS - Do I have to go to M$oft?????’ for ‘Thunderbird’

In my Thunderbird client on my tablet (Android), phone (Android), and laptop (Windows 11) over the last week, it has stopped emptying the Trash folder by clicking "Empty". Also, across these platforms the Trash folder will no remain synced, while it appears other system folders remain synced.

As I have not made any client setting changes (prior to troubleshooting this issue), I must assume a recent background change/app update has occured.

Please advise.

Addressing the problem, Practice Better says my acct is not blocked on their end. They say put

notifications@practicebetter.io in a safe senders list, but I can't find anything like that. How could I get my Thunderbird email acct to accept Practice Better's messages?

When messages arrive in inbox and are marked spam they do not auto move to spam folder. I have to uncheck the spam icon and re-check it. Not until then will they move to spam folder.

A few days ago the left (file) pane went from

- InBox
- Drafts
- Sent
- Junk
- Spam
- Trash

to

- InBox
- Drafts
- Sent
- Spam
- Spam
- Trash

I attempted to change the first "Spam" back to the original "Junk"; didn't work. Have no clue why TBird decided to change the file names on its own.

Any information/direction(s) about how to correct this back to the original?

thunderbrd version 153.0.1 64bit windows11 Spamfilter problem

my contacts are all in the personal address book convinced they get filtered as NOT SPAM, recently some addresses out of my adressbook get filtered anyway - weird an expert told me to setup a whitelist as a subfolder: I did but same prob... as far I know the address book works like a whitelist anyway, no success also not long ago thunderbird had an update - and it feels since the dodgy filtering started. Using thunbderbird for ages - never had that prob ever - till recent

This happens regardless of whether message is moved to trash or junk folder. My concern are this also marks spam, phishing and/or malicious emails read which allows read receipt to be sent when enabled. I don't want to be forced to use remove immediately or disable read receipt option to ensure these messages are deleted unread.

I was cleaning up my wife's email when I noticed there are a lot of messages unread and in the trash folder that ought not to be. I am wondering how to fix that for her. Example: some amazon.com emails about orders, or emails from favorite merchants or websites.

Right click not working on spam email

Lately I am getting spam with from addresses I can not use the right click on to copy the email from address for reporting purposes. I have to use the More option, View Source and then search for the From address and copy it from there. Can this be fixed?

I saved off the source if someone wants to see it.

I recently updated Tbird Mobile to v21.0. I'm on the latest version of Android released for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The "Empty Trash" and "Empty Spam" commands no longer work. I have to go to the desktop version, empty those folders there, then go back to the mobile version and resync in those two folders to get the trashed files to "go away". This never happened before the v21.0 update.

Is there something I need to do/change, or is this a bug?

Running version 21.0 on Android 17.

Emptied my trash just this morning. Worked fine. Went to do it tonight, said yes to the confirmation and it just sat there. No deletion. Sent a test message from another acct and that arrived fine, so it's not having problems accessing my server via IMAP.

What I want to do is to is export just the headers of emails on IMAP folders with an Excel VBA macro so that I can write filters to import into Thunderbird for deletion of old new letters and things of that nature, keeping only the important emails.

Knowing the message filter file format would also be nice considering that I can then just mass edit the filters without needing to recreate them each pass.
