I installed the English (US) dictionary add-ons from Mozilla Add-ons (English-US Dictionary and US English Dictionary). Firefox confirms they are installed and shows a “Remove” option, but they do not appear in about:addons under Dictionaries or Extensions. Additionally, the dictionary features are not working on webpages—there is no “define” option on text selection, and no dictionary/lookup functionality appears even after double-clicking words or using context menu options. The add-ons only appear as installed on their web pages.

Expected behavior: Installed dictionaries should be visible in about:addons and provide word lookup/definition functionality in the browser. Actual behavior: Add-ons are not listed in about:addons and provide no visible or usable dictionary features on webpages.

Hi there. Ian here. My home page "www.news.com.au" keeps wanting to lock me out due to apparent addblockers on my PC. I am not aware of any that I have installed and can't find a way to remove them or turn them off. I am also not sure if this is a healthy consideration in any case. Can you Help me please.

Hi I use Firefox for years (decades probably). How on earth is it possible that after an upgrade (to 151), I had to manipulate about:config in order to allow unsigned extensions to keep working? Of course, I am not dealing with DIY extensions, but with small and unknown extensions as AdBlocker or uBlock origin... It doesn't seem I am the only one... Any explanation will be warmly accepted...

How to delete the word finder toolbar at the bottom of the browser?

I tried to change the wallpaper but instead found different color settings for the browser. I selected one, but nothing changed, except now I have this word finder toolbar so anytime I type something it pops up and I have to reset focus every time from it back to my computer page. This basically makes my computer unusable.

Extensions, such as Dark Reader, don't work on some designated web-sites. For example: support.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org accounts.firefox.com

I have a few extensions in Firefox but if I click on the extensions button in the toolbar it now takes me to a Personalize Firefox page where, if I click on Extensions, it only gives me the option of turning them off or on and not to activate or access them. For instance, one extension is Volume Booster which cannot be adjusted on this page. How can I get back to being able to actually using these add-ons?

After realizing what was being done to my PC, I unplugged it to stop the hacker. And I have since been able to recover my program, except for my ad blocker. When tab session manager (TSM) saves multiple windows, each with dozens of tabs, into a single imaging session file, TSM also creates and displays a list of those saved sessions. TSM now does not open any of multiple saved windows when any one of the backup listings is selected.. At one time, it did. Instead, TSM opens a single window and its tabs, on request, but opens it into the current window, only, When a new window is msnually created into which to drop the tabs, TSM simply refuses the new window, and replaces verything with a new window for its own tab collection..
