A possibility is to enable the Script Debugger (pref devtools.debugger.enabled), but I don't know if that component is working properly in Firefox 14.
In Firefox 15 (Aurora) and Firefox 16 the Debugger is available via the Web Developer sub menu.

It is also not yet documented on MDN:
