Recent Firefoix update had an ADD-ON that allows CUSTOM LOOK to page/tool bar area etc. I chose one and wish I hadn't. HOW DO I undo this? CANNOT FIND any preference for it now.
I went through the features and add-ons available with recent (approx. 1 month ago) UPDATE of Firefox. One thing I chose was a gimmick that adds color and graphics to (I believe) the SHELL of all pages. I don't really like it: find it too hard to read my tool bar and other info at top. I want to REMOVE THIS and have STANDARD SHELL. I can find NOTHING within my preferences that will lead me to the (NO idea what it is called) add-on involved. I want to know HOW TO FIND IT and HOW to REMOVE IT. Thanks!!

Sounds like you added a Persona (aka LightWeight Theme) to Firefox. You can revert to the Default theme (Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

ORIGINAL POSTER ADDS:
This is an APPEARANCE or THEME(?) add-on as far as I can tell. I only wish I knew how to LOCATE the place/file that stores info on what changes / add-ons / plug-ins have been added. I've gone in circles only to find nothing relevant. THE SHELL ...or SKIN of my page set-up is what is affected.

THANKS both of you!
Yes, it was a 'persona'. I have followed link provided and selected one much calmer and easier to "see through". Problem solved. YAYYY!!
