Unable to save cookies for specific websites

Hi. I tried to log in to my new bank website today and it's asking me, each and every time, to fill out the pass code it has sent to my email. I went in to settings on Firefox and added the website as an exception so that the cookies for that website aren't deleted and, lo and behold, when I try to log in, again the bank website is challenging it as a new device and sending me a one-time code! So, for some reason, it hasn't saved, or at least not registered, the fact that this should be a safe website where cookies are saved!

I'm trying to copy and paste the list of exceptions to show you but it's not allowing me to copy and paste them.

Can you please clarify how I can add these cookies so that the website doesn't see my desktop as a new computer each and every time I log in to my account on my desktop?

Hi Anthony! Can you elaborate a bit more what privacy setup you use, that would warrant adding exceptions? Do you use some "never remember history" or "clear data on shutdown" options to limit what the sites can persist between browsing sessions?

Hi,

Normally, the default that Firefox has now, which it seems to come with by default, is that every time I close Firefox, it deletes all cookies meaning that, obviously, every time I then log in to a website, it thinks that I'm logging in to that website on a new computer. So, what I want to do is to save specific cookies, such as for my banking website, so that Firefox, and my bank, recognize that this is not a new computer that I'm using, and so I won't need to be emailed a separate security passcode each time I log in to my bank.

I've discovered in my Firefox settings how to save exceptions to cookies so that it explicitly allows cookies to be saved for my bank but, sadly, it's still sending me a security code each time so, for some reason, although I've set up the exception so that those cookies for that website are allowed, it's not working.

I tried to take a screenshot of the settings so you could see what I was talking about, so that you know I'm in the right section, but, for some reason, I presume security, when I press CTRL, ALT and PRT SC nothing happens when I then press CTRL and V to paste it.
