how do I turn off tab groups in Firefox Android?
Is there some way of disabling tab groups with the new update, without uninstalling the regular version of Firefox mobile for Android?

It can be disabled in Secret Settings. I'm not sure if it's accessible in the regular version, or Nightly only.
I have the opposite problem, how do I enable it?

About:config is disabled in the normal version of Firefox Android and there is no setting for this in the "secret" menu.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to completely disable tab groups in the current Firefox for Android release. It seems to be part of the new tab management system rather than an optional feature.
If enough users are asking for it, Mozilla may add a toggle in a future update. You can also keep an eye on the official feature request or release notes to see if this changes. I’d prefer an option to turn tab groups off as well.
