Hotmail account does not keep me logged in

Every time I close Hotmail it signs me out and I have to log in again with my password. Also with Facebook the same.

If you go through Clear cookies and site data in Firefox article, it shows ways how to restrict sites from remembering them — perhaps you want to verify none of these are in effect for you. Namely:
