I can't bring up my bookmarks
just put up a new t mobile modium and can't get the book marks to come on the upper bar

Hi, do you mean on the top menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc.)? The following article has the steps to turn on the Menu bar:
Restore the Menu bar in Firefox
There's also an option toolbar button to show the Bookmarks menu, in case you don't need anything else on that top bar. Look for 
in the Customize panel:
Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars
Are either of those useful, or was it something else?
