How can I set Thunderbird to open on a specific email account?
Unless I shut down Thunderbird on my main email account, it will open with the last email account read. There must be a way to set this to open every time on a specific email account but I am yet to find out how to do that. For example - email account FY@gmail.com is what I want to show when Thunderbird starts - but unless this email account was the last read before it was shut down the last time - it only opens on the account last read before it was last shut down.
How to set this to a specific account when Thunderbird opens every time?

Session data is auto stored and therefore always opens on whatever account you were viewing at the time prior to exiting. Simple answer is to select the gmail account prior to exiting. A one click solution.
There was an addon called Manually Sort Folders which did have an option to set up a specific on start select account folder, but it does not seem to have been updated recently.
I did check on my version to see if I could set the desktop Thunderbird shortcut to open on a specific folder url, but it does not work. The info was here: https://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_Inbox_when_starting_Thunderbird https://kb.mozillazine.org/Folder_URIs
Url can be found in the 'prefs.js' file or looking in the Confid Editor.
For some weird reason, it just ends up opening two Thunderbird windows and neither are set on the specified account and folder.
But on another of their pages I found you can't specify the URL for a folder, only for a specific message, which is not exactly desired. https://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_arguments_-_Thunderbird
So, at the moment, I have come to a dead end.
