mozilla esr
question, if 128.3.1esr.exe is supposed to be good until mar25, why is it telling me i need win 10 when i try loading? i'm trying to stay as far away from windows as i possibly can, but unfortunately i had to reload win7 because the downloads i need for linux are being difficult with only 3 months of experience. i don't need your security, or what microsoft pretends is security. i have no intention of relying on windows, i just need to be able to download the programs to create bootable os's for my crypto miners, those are debian based. because from what i've learned so far, i just like linux better.

it would be nice if i could find an archived version of firefox with directions for installation, like in the old days. i never updated mozilla, unless i built a new computer, or had a hard drive die. my firewall and antivirus did their jobs, even though there usually was nothing to protect. i am a firm believer in external storage, when you aren't using it, you disconnect it from the computer. copy and paste still keeps keyloggers at bay, at least i haven't read about any breaches by programs that can read pasted information. there is only one truth, while dealing with the internet. internet security will never be more than a screen door in the kitchen, when dealing with windows. it keeps some bugs out, not all. in the end, it has always been my responsibility to maintain my information security not yours, not microsoft's.
wonder how well all this security stacks up to this list, and these are just what i can remember off the top of my head, i'm sure there's more and better by now.

We continue to support ESR 115 line in Win7 (up to mar25). ESR 128 is not compatible with Win7 anymore.

Firefox 116.0 and later requires Windows 10/11 (and macOS 10.15+ to run) as to why it says you need Windows 10 at minimum.
It is Firefox 115 ESR that Mozilla has extended updates support til March 2025 (and Fx 115.21.0esr) for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 OS users.
You can download the current Firefox 115.16.1esr at below as the folder are the language abbreviations. 64bit: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.16.1esr/win64/ 32 bit: https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.16.1esr/win32/

We decided to extend support for ESR 115 only on Windows 7-8.1 and macOS 10.12-10.14 up to March 2025.
We will re-evaluate this decision in early 2025 and announce any updates on ESR 115's end-of-life then.
