Browser Location Blocker Failing

cor-el replied

When on a particular site just now (stubhub.com), when attempting to manually enter a location to refine a search, I accidentally selected "current location" from a dropdown menu on the site. I was prompted, as expected, by firefox: "stubhub wants to access your location", "allow" or "block". After selecting "block", the location still updated on the site to my current location. I repeated the above steps over again to ensure I wasn't mistaken.

I am not personally concerned about this particular instance, but thought the team may want to hear about something like this. New to Mozilla support boards, so let me know if I am even posting in the right spot for this, or if things like a screen recording of the issue occurring would be helpful.

This site is for user support. To address that issue to developers, you would need to file a bug report at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

Note that websites can still do a reverse DNS lookup of your IP to determine your location if you deny access to use geo location.
