Since I decide to install (Win7 x64) the new Quantum Firefox I don't know how many times the browser crash on me, it's something I experience multiple times in daily basis, for various reasons I always have lots of tabs open, around 10-12, but I did that before in Firefox 56-57 & never had the kind of issues I now have with the latest version, as you understand this situation is very frustrating for me, I don't know what you did in the new Firefox but I tell you this thing is far from stable & you seriously need to do something about it, the new version suppose to be better & lighter so why it crash so much now? plz do something about it fix that thing or you will force me to roll back & install some older version again & this is not good for security reasons but if the constant crashes continue what else can I do?

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 27.0 r0 by removing it with this tool : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html If you use it Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 31.0.0.108 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

To be Checked and turned off unless needed for accessibility : Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Multi-Processor Support : Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please. Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.

Only Disable as last resort.

Multi-processor Can completely disable it this way in about:config : dom.ipc.processCount set to 1 browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

Only move to esr if low ram and old system.

Firefox Extended Release Version : Firefox ESR does not come with the latest features but it has the latest security and stability fixes.

If do please :

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report. BP-

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I unistall the old flash (27) & install the latest version also I check in option the "Prevent Accessibility Services" & change in Performance the volume to 2 from 4 which was the default as you said, let's see if any of this will help, as for the reports although I have submit many reports the last days the latest reports in "about:crashes" are all from August no idea why is that, I can't see any submitted report from September on this list which is quite strange, there was only 1 unsubmitted report from September this one https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/60356e34-d7e6-4ff8-882b-91a8e0180914 go ahead & check it you might find something useful in there, many times it's not the whole browser crash but the tab/tabs crash, thx for the fast reply & help I need to do something about all those crashes any advice that might make my browser more stable is highly appreciated.

Hi, it is : Signature OOM | small = Out Of Memory

Ya, it would possibly be best to go to the Extended Support Release.

In the Address Bar Copy/Paste about:config and then Enter :

Adjust the Session Restore Saving Frequency

Firefox saves your session every fifteen seconds by default, but you can change the value of browser.sessionstore.interval so that Firefox will save the session at a longer interval.

Default: 15000 (in msecs, equivalent to fifteen seconds) Modified value: Set it to your desired value. 1000 means one sec, and 60000 means one minute

Reduce Session History Cache, Save RAM

If you’re using an older machine, then even the typically speedy Firefox may slow down your PC with the default settings. This could be in part because of how it stores Web pages in its short-term memory (or RAM), which you can access using the Back and Forward buttons.

The preference browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers affects how many pages Firefox stores in such a way that they load super fast.

Default value: – 1 (adaptable) Modified value: any number, reflecting the number of pages you want to store. (We recommend less than 4 if your PC is struggling for speed, while those with 4GB plus can go for 8 or more.)

The preference browser.sessionhistory.max_entries affects how many pages each tab stores in its Back/Forward history altogether.

Default value: 50 Modified value:If your PC is struggling, lower this to 25, check if it helps, then adjust accordingly.

Optimize Windows 7 :

If have Hard Drive Space increase Virtual Ram by same recommended amount in both min and max

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

My PC is not that bad I think I have 8 GB of DDR3 RAM & a GTX660 card, my CPU is cheap though it's an i3 4160 3.6 GHz, anyway I did all those changes you suggest, I change the browser to the latest ESR version for x64 Win7, I change the "browser.sessionstore.interval" to 60000 from 15000, then I change the "browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers" to 3 from -1 then last I change the "browser.sessionhistory.max_entries" to 20 from 50, also I change the paging file size to 8 GB I had it deactivate till now, so after all those changes I did do you think my tabs will stop crashing now?
