Hi, well not sure what ring you are on on Windows 10 but the Spring Update was released today ver 1803 and you can update it : https://www.windowscentral.com/whats-new-settings-app-windows-10-april-2018-update Use the Media Creation Tool and choose Update. You version seems to be old I think since is in the 10's

Please terminate Firefox in Task Manager and grab a copy of your Profile here just in case :

Then please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.3 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi, as Support Volunteers we would not know if they are or not. You can write a bug report. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Bug Writing Guidelines : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines

Let's see if this will help you with Win10 :

  • Repair System Registry and Files

Find the Dos Prompt or Powershell Windows key + X keyboard shortcut then Right Click and Run as Administrator then : Copy/Paste to Dos Window : DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth then hit Enter. Reboot when completed. Note : DISM goes up to Microsoft for new files.

The least intrusive way to fix Firefox is this way : uninstall Firefox.

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

After following your instructions to the letter Firefox did not show me as being up. When I reviewed the system processes under task manager, Firefox was listed as a background entry with the cpu cycles pulsating. Bottom line the solution didn't work. Any other suggestions? Thanks,

Mel

See revised Answer as your Windows is really old...I was on ver 1709 now is 1803 so you must be on the very 1st release.
