Re aol accounts and T-bird Send function: Sometime in the last 3 weeks I started to get a Login Failed box every time I try to send from username@aol.com using T-bird. The text in the box is "Login to server smtp.aol.com failed." and offers 3 options: Retry Enter New Password Cancel Any of those choices and closing the box yields a Send Message Error box that says: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.aol.com for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." with an "OK" button. Messages sent from from aol webmail work. Incoming messages addressed to any of my aol email accounts are delivered to the correct T-bird Inbox. I remember that either yahoo or aol said T-bird was less secure than their mail client and required agreeing to an acknowledgement to that effect to continue to use T-bird.

Hi, Airmail. I kinda already knew there was a problem. I was hoping there was a solution. Today for the first time, the same thing is happening with a yahoo account.
