The new video and background feature for the Android phones where the little icon comes up in the top seems to be using up an enormous amount of memory because when I try to switch between things I can't it just delays so long I try to shut it off and it won't shut off right away it takes like 2-3 minutes unless I go in and manually Force shut it something you need to look into the future

When I switch to another app on my phone for 30-40 seconds, the tab that I had open decides that it should refresh. This is super annoying when trying to fill out a form and the information you get from another appz and the form reloads and all the info is gone

I do not know is this from my os or no, but this is an issue that breaks my experience almost all the time, and I am not the only one experiencing it.

When accessing only specific web pages, the screen freezes during loading. Backing, refresh, etc., are not working at all. The only way is to close the tab. I'm curious about the solution.

While on a webpage, changing to a different app on mobile sometimes causes the whole browser to bug, blanking out the page and refusing to load. Sometimes when this happens, waiting a while will allow the page to load, but often i have to clear cache for it to work.

I am using Firefox version 151.0.2 on android version 16, but I have been having this issue for months, since before 151.0.1. In some fillable fields on some sites, words duplicate as I type and/or the cursor jumps into the middle of a word. This is most frequently triggered by backspacing but can also happen when using numbers or symbols, such as when filling in a date with slashes or dashes. I've also witnessed it happen seemingly randomly.

Some situations in which this has occurred: -the tag field when creating or reblogging a post on the browser version of tumblr -the birth date field on my state's DMV website when trying to renew my car registration -multiple billing fields when trying to enter card information on a ticket vending site -this text box, the one I'm typing in right now to report this issue. Backspacing and using these dashes for this list both triggered the bug during the course of writing this up.

This has gone from merely irritating to actually being an obstacle (in the DMV example I could not get the field to accept any date format without duplicating and had to use the little popup calendar to select the day instead. What if that had not been a option?). My phone says both its software and Firefox are up to date. What else can I do?

As i have described beforehand, the app glitches when too much memory is occupied. I have to manually clear cache and force stop the app to contine using it. If sth can be done to optimize the app better, would very much appreciate it. Other than that, love the app and the services it provides. Please do fix it. Thank you

switching windows in and out Firefox android seem to reload the open page, this sometimes means significant waiting time and in case of scrolling pages the loss of your last position

Using the home screen search widget with the composable toolbar enabled(which can't be disabled anymore) on LG G8 causes the keyboard to open as usual but will not dismiss with the button or completing a search where it will attempt to dismiss but fail halfway through animation and block part of the screen.

Reproduce-able with these steps on LG G8: 1 Close Firefox 2 Open search widget from home screen 3 search something in url bar 4 Press Enter 5 Go to homepage, screen off, take a screenshot, or click on another text input box to make keyboard go down, sometimes with glitchy animation.

Not sure the exact cause but it also happens when browsing normally, i think its when a website loads and opens keyboard on its own.

Doesn't seem to happen on Samsung A16

Hello! So long story short I've been looking to switch my default browser to Firefox and I would've done so by now if it wasn't for this small issue.

It's not anything super important, but it has been mildly annoying to deal with. I can't say for certain how long this has been an issue in general since I've only just started trying out the Firefox search widget about a week or two ago. The issue happens every time I use the search widget and seems to happen infrequently when I use my private tab shortcut too, but doesn't happen when I use the app directly however. After a initial search (when you first open the widget/tab), my keyboard would freeze on screen (sometimes fully opaque and other times a bit transparent in a similar way to a screen burn). I can only fix it by either exiting and re-entering the app/tab or by clicking on a link and having it redirect me. I have zero clue as to what could be causing this or if it is some kind of bug?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

For a few weeks now, trying to to type anything while using Firefox on android mobile is an exercise in frustration and insanity. It makes me want to tear my hair out. I type part of a word, and then it suddenly adds the autocompleted word after the end of the letter I already typed. It also keeps screwing up after apostrophes: I type "The car is Jo's car" for example, and suddenly the cursor makes a space after "Jo", but the cursor moves to behind the "s". The end result looks like "The car is Jo' car"s

I'm not making this up, it literally happened while typing the above line and I decided to leave it like that for you to see. Typing in firefox right now is maddening.

Hello, I'm having trouble with my Firefox Nightly Android today. The scrolling is very choppy while trying to browse any article or webpage. It's most noticeable if I quickly scroll down and up. There is a large delay before my page scrolls back up. Is there any setting I have to change to fix this?

(android version)It's so slow that when it takes too long to open a page I just copy the link and use brave.the only reason I use firefox is ublock origin.And no I wont be clearing cache now and then it happens fairly quick after clearing anyways.And I tried to disable extensions even ublock and it still is slow.remind you no other browser has any performance issues.Its even worse when a website login to account needs verification that needs performance and it takes too long.I just give up and login through another website.Well this is me ranting I wont be changing browsers unless ublock gets taken down.nor waiting for an actual solution there seems te be none anyways.Well thats all

Recently when typing on Firefox on the duckduckgo search engine, anything you type gets doubled, and you cannot backspace. The issue doesn't occur when on Google page, only on ddg. I also tried different keyboard apps and the issue still persists. I went to the same page on Google chrome and the issue does not occur. This just started happening within the last week or so. If it matters/helps, I'm on Samsung s24 ultra.

Firefox is being flagged on my Android tablet as having too high background battery usage and it wants to put FF in deep sleep. This has just started happening. Also in the last several months, FF keeps freezing on my Android Tablet and I constantly (daily) have to clear the cache in the app. What has changed? If this continues I will have to uninstall this product.

When using Gboard speak to text in the Firefox address/search bar, it stuck writings after two or three words. Using the same Gboard speak to text on any other browser (Chrome, Samsung Browser, Edge, etc), works perfectly. That said, I assume it's a compatibility issue between Firefighter and Gboard. Same feature on Samsu keyboard works fine. Any idea to fix the issue?

When I open a website and then switch to another application and then switch back to firefox, the website will be reloaded.Reloading will waste time and prevent the operation of checking the verification code in the email and then returning to fill in the form during registration, because the website will be reloaded. How can I avoid this problem in the Android version of Firefox?

I have an issue with the app. When I return Firefox from the background, the app becomes partially unresponsive: the ui still responds to touches, but the current tab content remains blank for 3–10 seconds. After that delay, the tab content appears and Firefox continues working normally. The issue happens after using other apps for some time before returning to Firefox. It does not happen if I simply switch Firefox to the background and immediately bring it back to the foreground. It looks like a Firefox child/content process may be getting killed or evicted from memory while the app is in the background, but I have modern device with enough free memory (xiaomi 17 ultra, 16 gb ram). I've already tried popular suggestions: - Disable any restrictions in battery optimizations - Lock the app in memory - Allow app autostart - Disable memory extension (swap) in the system settings - Checked background process limit - "standard"

The same issue happens on tablet xiaomi pad 6 pro (12 gb of ram, hyperos 3 as x17u). The issue appeared ~4-5 month ago after ordinary Firefox update. What useful logs can I collect to help resolve it?

I've recorded a video of the issue with current versions of Firefox and Firefox Nightly https://youtube.com/shorts/JHxeODD3IQk . On video I reload `example.com` in both browsers, switch to other apps and return back to each browser. Firefox is locked in memory (see icon in task manager), Nightly is not. While tab is stuck in Firefox, I show that UI is working (menu is opened immediately).
