Hello Community and/or Support,

After installing the latest "Mozilla VPN Release 2.40.0" upon Windows 11 Version 26H2 OS Build 26300.9711, I received the follow error message 3 to 4 times in a row. after acknowledging the error (pressed "OK").

(See attached image) Mozilla VPN.exe - Bad Image is either not designed to run on Windows or It contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status OxcOOON28.

Prior to installation, I just booted my computer and observed that my VPN App needed to be updated. I did not open any other app or perform any other work.

The VPN update informed me that it needed to close my current VPN connection to continue with the installation Update, which I allowed the update to manage.

In my troubleshooting efforts, reviewing other forums, and ask Google Gemini, I have performed the following. 1). Rebooted the computer after install. (Same Error Message) 2). Uninstall and reinstall Mozilla VPN. (Same Error Message) 3). Updated my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti driver to the latest release. (Same Error Message) 4). Ran "sfc /scannow" as administrator within the Command Prompt (Same Error Message). 5). Ran "dissm /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" (Same Error Message).

Is there a method to correct the "Bad Image" error from popping up after restarting my computer? Also, would someone be so kind to inform the Mozilla VPN software team of this error?

Firefox 157.0 is displaying some websites incorrectly. Newsmax pages turn white and McMaster-Carr is also displaying incorrectly such that I cannot make an order even if logged it. The same sites work correctly in Edge which I have an intense dislike for. I have already restarted Firefox and rebooted Windows. This started after the Firefox 157 update.

Am I seriously supposed to enter windows safe mode to delete this folder, my machine requires a bitlocker password for me to enter safe mode in windows. I could probably do it, but I do not understand why I have to go through this insane process to remove a folder from my desktop.

I cant believe this software is capable of making a completely unremovable folder on my desktop, I don't have permission to remove a folder from my own computer? Seriously? I'm supposed to go into recovery mode in windows just to delete some firefox folder? THIS IS INSANE.

I tried restarting, changing permissions, I get access denied error. Is there anything else I can do?

While staying at a hotel in Columbus OH, I used the Firefox VPN on a Windows 11 laptop w/ US location to log into Facebook. When I checked my email, I was told by Facebook that I logged in from Tehran Iran. There is a serious security issue with your VPN. I not wanting to use your VPN in the future with kind of thing happening

PC is using Windows 10. My software is up to date. Chrome and other browsers do not show any issues when browsing. I have reinstalled Firefox. My Firefox app works fine on my Android mobile. I have also set up a new profile in Firefox.

Hello! So ive just accidentally updated to firefox 157, and i absolutely hate it. It is simply hideous.

I want to revert back to Firefox 150 or 151 without loosing user data. How can I do that?

When I use incognito mode and open and close multiple incognito tabs, closing the tabs and closing the last incognito mode browser instance leaves behind what appears to be Firefox processes for each closed tab. When I return to my open normal mode tabs, I cannot browse from the normal tabs, I get spinning circles and no progress. The only way to clear this is to close the normal browser and all its tabs, then use the task manager to manually end the remaining Firefox (zombie) tasks that seem to be left behind by the incognito tabs that were already closed. Then when I restart Firefox and restore my previous session, I can browse normally again.

It seems like there may be a bug here that the incognito tabs are not properly ending their processes when the tabs close. I have no involvement in the innards of Firefox, and simply wanted to report my difficult experiences to help in identifying problems. I am using Windows 11 and the latest version of Firefox - 158.0. I have seen this problem for at least a month or so. That means at least a few earlier versions of Firefox shared this issue.

I typically keep more than 10 tabs open in normal mode, and for incognito mode, I usually progress through at least ten more tabs, with two or three open at a time, but closing them after a few minutes as I complete each task. When I complete the browser tasks in incognito mode I make sure all the incognito tabs are closed. When I return to an open tab in normal mode and click on a link to browse onward, I never see any progress. I close the Firefox browser and all the normal tabs. I open the Windows task manager and even though I just closed Firefox, I see between 10 and 12 Firefox processes. I use the "end process" command in task manager to manually close what I think of as zombie Firefox processes. When I then open a new instance of Firefox, and use the History section to restore my previous session, all my normal mode tabs reopen, and I can use links in those tabs normally to proceed with browsing normally.

I am not familiar with the Firefox community and have not participated in your forums. I hope this might help you identify and fix any bug that may be present. I feel like I have a work around that is only slightly awkward.

To put it simply, the problem is that "the cause of my PC's malfunction might be related to image files created using Firefox's screenshot function." [結論から言えば「pcが故障した原因が、Firefoxのスクショ機能で作った画像ファイルの影響かもしれない」という問題です。]

Recently, when I copied and moved data to an external HDD for backup purposes, some data failed to transfer. [先日、外付けのＨＤＤにバックアップの為に、データをコピー＆移動した際に、一部のデータだけ移動できてない事態が発生しました。]

I realized that the screenshot images I had created with Firefox a while ago were the cause of the failure. Two days after creating the backup, when I tried to start my PC, a black screen with white text saying "A problem occurred and the PC could not start" appeared. [そこで昔Firefoxで作ったスクショ画像が移動できない原因だと気付いたのですが、バックアップを作った2日後からpcを起動しようとすると、黒い画面に白い文字で「問題が発生した為、起動できませんでした」と出る様になりました。]

I tried various things with the support of the PC manufacturer, but the PC is now intermittently starting up, sometimes working and sometimes not, and it seems the PC has malfunctioned. [製造元のpc会社のサポートを受けながら様々な手を尽くしたのですが、pcの電源を入れる度に起動できたりできなかったりする症状となり、pcが故障してしまった様なのです。]

At this point, I was thinking, "Did connecting the HDD cause the malfunction?" [この時点で私は「ＨＤＤを接続したのが故障の原因？」と考えていました。]

I was about to send the PC to the manufacturer for repair, and while creating a new backup, I noticed, "I can't delete these screenshot images, and I can't change the file names either?" [pc会社にpcを送って修理してもらおうと思い、新しくバックアップを確保する作業中に「このスクショ画像、削除できないしファイル名も変更できない？」と気付いたのです。]

Apparently, Firefox's screenshot function is designed to forcibly save files even if they contain characters that cannot be used in the filename or have an impossible number of characters.

As a result, I suspect, as a layperson, that this may have caused my PC to malfunction. [どうやらファイル名に使用できない文字と不可能な文字数でも、Firefoxスクショ機能では無理やり保存する様にできているらしいのです。 その結果、pcの故障が起こったのではないか？と素人ながら私は考えました。]

Frighteningly, this screenshot image can only be copied, and a mysterious, unidentifiable image file that cannot be deleted, moved, or renamed has already been copied to my HDD. I can't delete it even if I want to, and I don't know what will happen if I do. [恐ろしい事にこのスクショ画像はコピーだけはできる様で、ＨＤＤには既に「削除・移動・ファイル名変更が不可能な得体の知れない不気味な画像ファイル」がコピーされており、消したくても消せないし、消したら何が起こるか分からない状況なのです。]

I'm so scared I can't sleep, and my cold symptoms have worsened. [怖くて眠れず風邪の症状が悪化しました。]

If this is the cause of the malfunction, I think I should immediately share this information with everyone and ask for help, which is why I'm asking this question here. [もしもこれが故障の原因ならすぐに皆さんに情報共有し、助けを求めるべきではないかと考え、今回ここに質問させて頂きます。]

I plan to send my PC to the manufacturer soon to have it professionally resolved. [近日中にpcは製造会社に送り、プロの手で解決して頂く予定です。]

However, the HDD is from a different company, and the warranty has expired, so I don't think I can ask them to delete the images. [しかしＨＤＤは違う会社だし、保証期間も過ぎてるので、画像の削除は頼めそうにありません。]

If it's not too much trouble, I would be grateful if you could tell me how to delete the screenshots on the HDD. [差し支えなければＨＤＤにあるスクショ画像の削除のやり方など教えて頂ければ幸いです。]

I asked this about four months ago, and did not get any answer, so I am asking again. Sorry for the repetition.

Here is the problem: when I highlight a short passage of text (~3-4 words), and right-click, the context menu always shows the translation entry as "Translate to Dutch". (See first image.) If I accept that, the input language is assumed to be English, so I actually have to change both drop-downs. (See second image.)

If the passage is long enough (> ~4-5 words), the context menu will show "Translate to English", which is what I want, and as an aside, Firefox is almost always correct in detecting the input language.

I can understand it being hard to detect the input language from a short phrase, but why does the output language default to Dutch? And is there a way to change this behavior?

Would you please share any Firefox-specific fix for my Windows 7 laptop.

I did exact comparison of printing (using same printer) Firefox 115.43.0 web pages (which no longer print)  and Opera version 95.0.4635.90 web pages that print fine.

I use my Brother MFC‑J895DW wirelessly with Windows 7 laptop. Firefox shows “Print Preview Error”; Firefox’s XPS file won’t open, while Opera’s XPS file opens and prints.

I also tried a fresh profile, Troubleshoot Mode, resetting printer settings, and reinstalling Firefox. Still can't get Firefox web pages to print.

FYI, my Windows 10 desktop is able to get Firefox web pages to print on same Brother device.

No videos play. I created a brand new fresh profile, but that didn't help. It seems like maybe there was a recent update, because they worked before.

On tubi it says the widevine crashed and I submitted a crash report for it.

I am unable to uninstall firefox from the computer because I don't have permissions to do that.

I was hoping someone would have a simple suggestion that could fix it.

See title. On ultra-wide, I would use split view with 4 or 5 tabs regularly if it was available. Please consider adding that function. Also, please add a dark mode to your support site.
