I recently purchase s new Dell desktop computer with Windows 11, my preferred search browser is Fire Fox i have used it for years and like it. Recently when i make a search with Fox Fire the answer for the search is with another search engine, example: Yahoo, Google, Edge or other. I don't recall this with the old windows 10 why is the happening and can I change this ?.

In this version of Firefox 152 for windows I'm currently unable to remove search related to google, ebay, perplexity and bing.

Please return possibility to remove those completely!

I don't want my browser to have anything to do with those listed above. I have had it removed in previous versions. Why did you add it to browser again?! Why don't you allow to remove it anymore?!

Added by FF - poor move on FF part. Unlike others, can't be removed any of the "traditiona" about: methods.

Need to have it go - we DO NOT want this used here.

Recently any search I do via Firefox tab is automatically taken over by Yahoo and I'm not aware I ever sanctioned this and I don't want this to happen as normally Google was doing the searches. Thank you

Any search entry gets the following return:

How to get rid of BING setting on internet/Firefox

I'm running Windows 11 Pro on a desktop PC. I have used Firefox "Search by Image" many times and I haven't had a problem in the past. A few days ago the search failed for "some" images and now it fails for any and all images that I drag and drop into my browser. Important: It does work for images on the internet. My problem: (1) I drag and drop an image into my browser. (2) I right-click on the image. (3) I select "Search by Image". (4) I select a search engine. Absolutely nothing happens. I've tried with various images and various search engines. Still nothing happens. I don't think I'm doing anything different than I've always done. I haven't changed any settings in Firefox. Any ideas?

perhaps if you just had a few empty boxes so someone could write in the name of the search engine and firefox would know the complex URL's connected to the name of the search engine.............

After today's Firefox update (7/30/26), I can't activate DuckDuckGo search. When I type a search in the URL bar, if i select a bookmarked URL, it will launch the bookmarked URL. However, if I select a search query (ex. "sonicare toothbrush" in attached pic #1), it won't allow me to press enter to launch a search.

Under Settings, when I click on "Activate" DuckDuckGo search (attached pic #2), nothing happens.

I tried to use Firefox as my search engine but that didn't work so I re-downloaded DuckDuck, but the address bar say "search with google". I use to have DuckDuck but deleted it because I got tired of sites wanting to know my location. How do I get rid of that. I've tried all options in the settings file. I would prefer
