I'm putting together a webpage where employees can change/reset their LDAP passwords. Firefox asks if the user wants to generate a random one.

being an LDAP password, having their Firefox browser generate and manage it would not be practical as not all services using the LDAP password don't all run in Firefox.

Hi, After submitting my first question, I got a prompt that the confirmation e-mail is sent to my primary e-mail. The problem is that I cannot open my primary e-mail because of outdated security protocol of the server. I can contact the server owner, but it might take awhile and it doesn't mean that I could open my primary e-mail after that. Also, if a confirmation e-mail looks like "Approve sign-in to Mozilla" one, containing the authorization code, the problem is that I don't see where to enter the code and I don't see instructions. Question above. Enabling sidebar (for vertical tabs) stops Wikipedia at any zoom from autodisplaying the Table of contents for an individual page.

I really wish I could stop this. Love vertical tabs. Love the Wikipedia Contents displayed by default. Can't have both.

Hi, I have all kinds of ad blockers in my Firefox and today I logged into my music only to have ads coming in one after another. This happened once before a couple of years ago and some how after I complained the ads disappeared again. Now I need the same help.

I use firefox nightly as my everyday driver for WEB. So far I was very satisfied with the performance and mostly with youtube videos and hardware decoding. I use a Nvidia 1060 (GP106) which supports VP09/AVC1/H265 decoding.

The problem started only recently after some updates of the Firefox when I noticed that VP09 isn't hardware accelerated anymore. They way I test is using the Windows 11 task manager/Performance/GPU/Video decode.

At the same time, the stable Firefox has no issues with VP09 HW decoding. The same is valid for any other browser I tested. So the problem is isolated to the nightly.

I downloaded and ran mozregression GUI which indeed showed me that some nightly version before the VP09 worked just fine. I tested using the dates option of the tool.

I am trying to download a few JPG images from Meetup.com. Here is an example URL:

This is CLEARLY a JPG image from the URL. However, when I right click on the image to Save As the only choice given is AVIF! I cannot open or use AVIF files. As you know the conversion process is LOSSY so trying to convert BACK to a JPG format is not recommended.

It is fine if Firefox and other browsers want to use AVIF format internally but you should, at least, give users the OPTION of downloading the native format.

So how do I fix/configure Firefox to provide the native JPG file download?

Initially, firefox denies my profile registered with version 129 (probably) because current version is 130 in this new computer. I succeed in turning back partly to 129 but probably without some files necessary for snap. The profile is OK but firefox works wrong. Updates are no longer possible and Ubuntu proposes to migrate towards version 24.04 LTS. Is either the good way or an other solution exists ? Thanks to best hint.

My husband was the computer expert - not me and he passed away four years ago. So please bear with me. Until two days ago I was able to open two Facebook tabs on Firefox web browser which is necessary for a platform that I do moderating for. Now for some reason I cannot and I don't understand why. I have tried to find the answer by searching and unable to resolve. Again, very much a novice at this stuff so any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi, I'm using Firefox and I'd like to customize my new tab page experience. Currently, I see a mix of sponsored content and suggested sites when I open a new tab, but I'd prefer to see my actual most visited websites or bookmarks instead. Is there a way to:

Turn off sponsored content completely? Show only my frequently visited sites? Add custom shortcuts to specific websites I use daily?

I've looked through the settings but can't find the right options. Any guidance on how to personalize this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help.

I am having major issues with Firefox speeds, Mainly upload speeds. On Edge I am getting 400 up & down (no issues at all). However, on Firefox upload speed is 144 Mbps, same on private windows. The only issue is with Firefox. Windows is up to date and Firefox version is 139.0.4 (64-bit)

Below are the steps i performed:

Firefox Troubleshoot Mode Test: Download: 411.71 Mbps (Full Speed) Upload: 173.03 Mbps (Still Bottlenecked) Extensions Disabled Manually (Normal Firefox): No significant improvement. Hardware Acceleration Toggle (Normal Firefox): No significant improvement.

New Temporary Firefox Profile Test: Download: ~333 Mbps Upload: ~190 Mbps Problem persists even with a clean profile.

Temporarily Disable Windows Firewall Test: Resulted in ~349 Mbps Down / ~148 Mbps Up. Firewall re-enabled.

Could someone let me know how to get this fixed. Creating a new profile should have fixed issued assuming one of the extensions was causing the bottleneck. But even with a new profile its not making any difference.

I have Microsoft Outlook email on my desktop. Often, a tab will just move and land in a new window which it creates. Now, an entire Group did the same thing. How do I transfer these back to the original window?
