I just did a fresh install of Firefox on my phone and with zero search history its suggesting "pornhub" in the URL when the letter "P" is entered. After deleting history, cookies, and everything else I can think of, this suggestion continues to happen. Even after uninstalling the app and reinstalling, it's continuing to suggest this website. Does anybody have a solution to blocking this suggestion?

We're exploring adopting a default deny policy for Firefox extensions in our enterprise. However when I tested this by creating a custom policies.json Firefox unexpectedly removed all extensions for me, including the ones I thought I had allow listed. Here is my policies.json but just keeping in the Facebook Container add-on to illustrate:

{

   "policies": {
       "ExtensionSettings": {
           "*": {
               "blocked_install_message": "Only approved Firefox extensions can be installed, please email your request to itdept@example.org",
               "installation_mode": "blocked",
               "allowed_types": ["theme", "dictionary", "locale"]
           },
           "@contain-facebook.xpi": { "installation_mode": "allowed" }
       }
   }

}

What I would like is to to allow pre-approved extensions (including if they already are installed) and all other types of add-on, but remove and prohibit installation of unapproved extensions.

Can anyone assist, please?

My bookmarks previously would be displayed on the left of the screen when I start Firefox. For some reason someone thought it would be an improvement to force me to use another click to show my bookmarks. Forcing the user to make more clicks is NEVER a good design choice. There seems to be no setting for getting my bookmarks displayed by default. Now there is just a setting whether or not to show a "sidebar" with a button I must click to show the bookmarks. Bring back my bookmarks please, or add a setting to allow me to get them back.

Thanks.

DELL's new monitor, U3225QE, can be connected via Thunderbolt 4. I can display 120Hz and Edge and Chrome display without any problems. Only in Firefox there are some areas that should be displayed in white but are displayed in pink. By the way, when connected via HDMI 2.1, the display is 120Hz without any discoloration. If you turn on the dynamic refresh rate, the screen will go black every time you move the mouse. When it is OFF, Firefox browsing does not change color and can be used normally, I called Dell support and they told me, "That's probably a problem with Firefox." By the way, the hardware configuration is CPU:AMD Ryzen7 9700X Mother Board:Asrock B650M HDV-M.2 Video Card:Asrock Radeon7600XT Challenger 16GB OC Thunderbolt 4 Expansion Card: GIGABYTE GC-MAPLE RIDGE It would be helpful if Mozilla could address this issue.

Beginning a few days ago, shortcuts on my iPad from 2+ years have begun appearing. I delete them but they keep coming back the next time Firefox is started.

My Mac will not login to my savings/credit account. It does exactly NOTHING when I click on login. If I use Safari I can log in perfectly fine. Firefox also does not login to another credit card account and does the same thing. Everything else works fine in Firefox, except for these two accounts. They both work in Safari. What setting is causing this??????????

Hi I have been used to Thunderbird responding to my beginning to type recipient names with a list of matches. Suddenly it has stopped doing so. I have checked that all my addresses are still present in the Address Book (relief!), but I note that the Contacts sidebar is completely empty (even the Address Book options are missing). I can't find a setting to correct this, and would be very grateful to know how to revert to the previous good performance. Thanks

I click on the Thunderbird icon and nothing happens. I cannot get it to open to retrieve emails (100+ a day, mostly junk). I don't have my email passwords so I can't go online to use cpanel webmail. All my digital records are stored in Thunderbird inbox folders. Which I can't access. Any idea what is happening? Since I can't access email, please contact me via text 530 521-5296 or Facebook messenger Hildy Langewis. thank you! I'm on the road for at least a week and not being able to keep up with emails is troubling!

Hello, I am unable to see my email messages in the panel. I do see the number of emails that I have, but unable to open anything. Has something major happened with Thunderbird? The email function was working fine and the next morning, all of my messages in the panel disappeared.

I'd appreciate any immediate feedback. Thank you.

I couldn't get emails to download from server. This began 2-3 days ago, for no apparent reason. I got Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox." I've never made any changes to the default program, so 'something' (maybe new update?) caused this problem (to my TB & and hubby's TB!) I tried to delete a LOT of emails and compact the file, but TB froze and I can't continue to compact, and CANNOT EXIT the program to try to restart. There's no way to try to fix this as long as I can't get TB to respond.

Interestingly, both my hubby and I had the same problem and it began during the same time period. We both have Windows 10/11. To try to fix his TB email, I deleted 5000+ emails, set the system to retain only the last 150-200 emails, and then was able to COMPACT the file. This seemed to magically return the email to its previous working order, and all current emails were downloaded. (Fingers crossed that this will still work properly when he checks email later today; others have said the problem returned.)

However - I'm not able to use the same 'fixes' to get MY TB to load email. I tried to delete a lot of emails and then 'compact', but it FROZE - showing this message: "Compact folders (Not responding) Thunderbird needs to do regular file maintenance to improve the performance of your mail folders. This will recover 685 MB of disk space without changing your messages. To let Thunderbird do this automatically in the future without asking, check the box below before choosing ‘Compact now’. " I can't get TB to recover the 685MB of disk space because it won't respond to anything.

I'm stuck. I hope someone can help. I checked some possible fixes via the community, and threw up my hands in despair when many of them needed 3-5 pages of instructions to complete the task! Help please? Thanks in advance.
