internet provider wants to provision my modem when using FireFox, how can I do this.
I bought a Surfboard modem (SB6121) so I would not have to lease a modem from Time Warner Cable any longer. When I use FIrefox to navigate the web, TWC asks me to provision my equipment. I talked with their customer service rep, who was able to see/ping my equipment with no issues. I can use IE8 to surf with no issues.

Did you check the connection settings in Firefox?
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":
You can also try to clear the cache in Firefox.
