When in full screen mode the address bar and tabs only lift up and disappear after moving the mouse. It should auto dissapear after a few seconds even if you don't move the mouse. Is there anyway to achieve that? thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Safe mode made no difference. However, I did realise what you're experiencing. If you're in regular mode (with a website open) then you press F11 for full screen it will auto hide the address bar. However, if WHILE STAYING IN FULL SCREEN MODE you enter a new address and go to another webpage it will only hide the address bar after moving the mouse.

Works fine for me.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

This problem still exists, and it makes full screen mode close to useless for my purposes.

Hitting ESC will also hide the tabs, but it will still defocus/cancel page load, so it's not a particularly good workaround.
