I just want a simply way to access bookmarks, such as a drop down menu without the need to go through several menus, can this be done?

I would like one point from the main menu, to drop down my bookmarks, much like is provided with IE and earlier versions of Firefox. Currently I must click on Firefox, click on Bookmarks, and then the drop down appears. This is a hassle. I added the Bookmark Toolbar, but all that does is shows me the Most Visited sites.

Chosen solution

-> right-click on Tab strip and click Customize... -> Customize Toolbar window will open -> Drag Bookmarks * button on the Navigation Toolbar and click Done

There are two Bookmarks * buttons. Use each one of them separately and remove the one you don't need. Check and tell if its working.

Use the Bookmarks Toolbar

-> press CTRL + SHIFT + B to open Bookmarks Library

  • on the left-side of this window, open Bookmarks Toolbar and Bookmarks Menu
  • Drag your Bookmarks (files and folders) from Bookmarks Menu and Drop them on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • close the Library window

Check and tell if its working. See the link for further Adding and Arranging Bookmarks in your Bookmarks Toolbar.

Well that puts all my folders on the menu, but what I want is something like the "Show More Bookmarks" that I find at the end of the toolbar now, as I have many folders of bookmarks. What I really want is one place to click, say BookMarks, and then it would drop down, showing me the folder structure. Much like the Library, but without all the steps or key combinations.

Well that gave me what I wanted, but when I tried to remove all the bookmarks from the Toolbar it appears I deleted them. I will have to find a backup. But finally finding that Bookmarks button was worth the pain.
