Hi spite your endless pointless updating that your doing so often my computer always crashes most especially on you tube - i admit being on windows7 and an old computer (3rd gen I5) isn't helping but this IS FIREFOX CRASHING!! This after not having you tube settings at 1080p. Are we going to fix this problem or are we just going to keep ignoring it and focusing on the new latest and greatest or are you busy making like as many versions of firefox as there are linux distros lmao. Moving on papering over things and not fixing problems but instead creating and not finishing and polishing. It's getting pretty old and i am getting quite sick of the crashes please fix your broken ass dam browser and quit updating the sob if your not going to fix anything.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

What virus software are you running?

If i knew for sure my problem with the crashing has nothing to do with my hardware or windows and this is because the problem is firefox you'd be getting a dam good ass roasting for it!!!! Thats pure incompetence and blatantly just unacceptable but i am NOT sure. Funny it works with Linux mint, which i am far less experienced with Linux as are far more people than i think it's supporters want realize. I am getting ready this year to build my third desktop computer and i will tell you i WAS thinking about putting Linux in this one as well BUT i cannot because Linux when it comes to content creators/graphic design especially for a beginner it's nothing but a complete shit show for even working with modern hardware and monitors for Christ sakes ( only and idiot argues with that ) and missing soo much needed that i cannot help but think it's not interested in gaining any popularity whatsoever. More distros and customization don't get Linux any prior windows users. Couple that with supportless forums at least with newbies anyway and it's bugs and errors and any new comer i promise you will be light-speed to go back to windows. The reasons windows users want switch is mainly Linux has top notch virus and security and can run on older computers great job on that. That kind of attention and focus on getting the hardware support, bugs, and software polished is what it's going to take if Linux wants replace windows. Stop expecting people with the best hardware and big money spent on it for them to fight with your ecosystem or expect to stay right where you are now.

Hey Stihlman,

I'm currently dual booting Win 7 and openSUSE and I have another laptop still running XP and openSUSE. You should definitely install Linux to verify those issues you mention yourself. There are many content creators using Linux and other free software, just search for it on YouTube.

Back to your issue... Did you ever get around to trying to run Firefox in safe mode?

jonzn4SUSE I just about was going to do just that dual boot. I researched that one with several you tube channels and very long story short cause there is a ton of very interesting information regarding that but i thought it best for my use case i'd take other security measures for say. Very complicated because there are multiple reasons why i am going about it all this way. I got very familiar in my 8 or 9 years with learning and using windows and troubleshooting even fixing my blue screen crashes and as imperfect and problematic as windows is i always manage to seem to fix it idk.....but that and having that out of the box plug it in and use it ...i'd miss that ...having all of the equipment and tools i eventually will put into daily use ...i just couldn't take myself out of what i know and go against it ...i will work at solving my crashing issue i guess when i find it convenient ..i am just the type of person who greatly dislikes fixing things ...i just want use them lol but at the same time i love the convenience of fixing it myself and not paying anyone any money so
