Printing different from print preview - White pages up top and paragraphs missing content

more options

Go to http://utk.catalog.qa.acalog.com/content.php?catoid=21&navoid=2514

Use the print icon on the page Print preview is fine But actually printing the page - there are white pages up top, lots of missing data AND the paragraphs that did print, are missing data. If the page is only 1 page it will print fine. The More pages there are, the more messed up the actual printed version is. Remember - you must use the print button from this website. Not CTRL+P.

Please help - Only a problem with FireFox (All Versions)! Happens on Linux, Windows, Mac...

Thanks!

Sean E

Hi Sean, sometimes Firefox interprets certain style rules as creating an "unbreakble" block of content. Instead of separating it into multiple pages, it prints as much as possible by putting it on its own page, sometimes with large blank area before it and sometimes a blank page after it.

Unfortunately, I can't give you a site-specific workaround without seeing the page, but you might find any such workarounds (hacking the page styles, basically) to be more trouble than using Chromium or another browser to print the page.

But are you saying that the problem only occurs with the site's print button, and not when you use Firefox's built-in Print Preview and then printing from the preview screen? I'm not sure why that would be...
