how do I change history settings to save more
My "History" setting is only saving the last 7 days. How can I extend this to 28 days? I cannot find this setting in options.

Firefox 4 doesn't have a limit for the history other than the maximum number or pages.
You can see the current maximum in the pref places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages on the about:config page.
If you lose history then you or someone else or cleanup software is removing it.
