Why does my mouse run slower in Firefox than on the desktop and other apps?
Windows 11 desktop - latest version with previews.
Within the last week or so, my mouse has started moving very slowly within Firefox. I've tried refreshing and reinstalling Firefox (which is up to date) and deactivating all extensions. However, this makes no difference.
If this can't be fixed, I will seriously consider using another browser as my default in Windows (long time Firefox user).

Thanks for the link. I've tried all of the remedies suggested there but to no avail.
I intended to delete Firefox and reinstall it, but stopped short of that when the refresh option was offered - I did that, instead.
I have tried systematically disabling all Firefox extensions but none appeared to make any difference. My mouse driver is up to date and all settings in Windows are OK.
The mouse works fine - at full speed - in every other app and window - only slowing down in Firefox. As Firefox opens, the mouse moves at full speed, only slowing once the app has fully loaded (a matter of seconds).
The issue manifested first a couple of weeks ago. On booting up, my mouse speed had randomly increased for all apps and windows, requiring an adjustment to the Windows settings. This universal change in mouse speed marked the start of the speed differential in Firefox issue. I get daily security updates from Microsoft, so it could be that one of these caused the issue.
I've increased mouse speed in Windows settings so that the slowdown in Firefox is tolerable - but it's irritating, nonetheless.
Does the same happen if you restart into Troubleshoot Mode (from Help menu) — to see if e.g. a video driver might be the culprit? Thanks!
