I get several message that: I cannot connect to Amazon, Several websites, etc. It sometimes has something to do with private windows and/or can't connect! Could be license, ssl, etc. When I force a firefox private window, it works for a while then goes back to the same thing. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Since Firefox does not support video calls, deaf people cannot chat with their friends in sign language on Facebook Messenger. This feature should be brought back.

When I try to go to Google's website, I get this message:

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

The same thing happens with YouTube TV. My Bitdefender also flagged it as a suspicious page.

I hopped over to the ideas page because I had a couple suggestions, and found I was not alone because lo and behold someone else had the same ideas. So I decided to agree by hitting the kudos button, but imagine my surprise when instead of adding to the number of users who supported the idea, this feature only seemed to reload the page for me!

Want to disable the news pop-ups that appear at the bottom right hand corner when I first open Firefox. Prevent me from printing while they pop-up and are usually quite a few of them.

When I select Photos from menu (top right bars), I get Google message that there is a problem with my cookie settings and I need to enable them. I haven't changed them.

About two months ago, after various Windows and Firefox updates, I can no longer make Firefox the default browser. In Windows Default Apps the only option for FF is to make it the default program for Adobe Acrobat Document. Choosing Make FF Default through the browser does not work either. Additionally, I’ tried numerous suggestions, using AI help offered by both FF and Chrome, without success.

The OS is not allowing me to make Firefox the default browser. Is there any way around this?

Any suggestions?

After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

I used Private Browsing to review a web site, and saved a couple of files to my hard drive. When I closed the Private window and went to a different page in Firefox, then used Print and "Microsoft Print to PDF", the print dialog came up with the Private window's last save location as my initial save location. It doesn't matter whether the regular Firefox window was open before or after the Private window was closed.

It says to drag and drop but that does not work. I minimized both windows and dragged the one tab to the 'larger' window and nothing happens. My email keeps opening in a new window and it never did before. It was a tab in my original window, and now it is so much harder for me to work.

I am looking for an addon which displays times in different locations. I find one, FoxClock, which initially seems to meet my need. However, although the developer says its safe, and it has a Recommended badge, text in the app description says "Access your data for all websites." This may be 'honest' but it seems to be honest at the level of a thief saying "I'm going to rob you." WHY would a clock app need access to my data for all websites? Why would a clock app displaying on my desktop, not my browser, need to access any info about my data for any website? Poor coding? Lazy coding? Dangerous coding? Is this only a result of less than nuanced messaging by the developer or Mozilla, by using a generic message, rather than one which accurately states the 'access' is only for specified installation needs? Or another understandable safe reason? I'd like an explanation, since it does call into question the degree of security offered by Mozilla.

Is there a way to remove "recent bookmarks" from the book marks pull down menu? Or at least hide them. It causes a total lack of privacy when any and all bookmarks can be seen in full view. Seems a stupid thing to not be able to hide them. Other browsers only show book marks when you go to the folder they are in.

Somehow over the years I ended up with two accounts. Today, after an update, FireFox opened up but without passwords. In order to get them back, I have to sign in to FireFox. Okay, that's easy. I enter the email address, the password (yes, it is correct - I checked two different ways), and it says that I am already signed in through the other account. I open that account and it says I must sign in.
