no send button appears when i try to write a message
previously there was no problem in sending messages but now when i type "Write" a new screen appears with no send logo to activate the send facility. what has happened to the vanishing send logo?. how can I rectify this problem

Do you have at least one email address specified in recipients?
Do you see the same problem in safe mode?

Sounds like you lost the Composition Toolbar. Open a Write window. If the Menu Bar is missing also press the Alt key to make it appear. From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing Toolbars back on.
