I'm having an issue that's related to 115 as I didn't have this problem on 102. This is also not related to gmail, live.com, icloud or other exchange accounts, only my IMAP accounts are having this problem. I have it set to a unified folder and I display both sent and inbox in the thread. Some of the items in the inbox show twice and some, if not most of the items in the sent folder on the thread show twice as well.

Dear support,

I am an Azure AD admin and recently we have been receiving ticket that some users cannot connect with they Thunderbird clients to our Exchange Online mailboxes.

Because MS turn off the basic authentication I had to created/register an Azure app with the normal API permissions for POP,IMAP,offline_access and SMTP. After that in 2023 January I also had to delete and register again the app because of a major change.

Everything fine until now, where I did try it also out and the account is not connecting to the exchange online server.

1 - Delete the app and re-registered via the Link and as admin I have granted it to the entire company 2 - I did make a clean install of Thunderbird and deleted all profiles and created a new one.

     Also via Config Editor removed all 4 entries with *auth2.scope at the end.

I've spent 5 hours trying to make it work.

Is the connection to M365 still supported ?

For years I have used Thunderbird's filter log to diagnose my rule behavior. I copy-and-paste the contents into a text editor and then clear it to eliminate the old data, and I am able to do text searches in my editor. In the last year or so, though, the filter log has stopped showing new entries after I hit the clear button. This has happened to me on three different installations -- all on different Linux computers. The most recent one is currently running Thunderbird 102.15.1 64-bit.

I have been using Thunderbird for about 15 years, and have loved using it, that is until I foolishly downloaded version 115. I will say upfront that I am 82 years but very comfortable with Thunderbird 64,I hate the new 115 version and wish to revert back to either 64 or a similar version. My emails are locked by Encryption and I cannot remove the command, also to send an email I have to use shortcut Cnt +enter as NO send button. How do I remove 115 and return to an older version.

I then checked the second email and tried to send a email and the box came up asking for my password when password entered email was sent and received by respective emails.

In multi-level nested folders an indicator is placed only on the top and bottom layers and not in a middle level. this makes it difficult to find mail in bottom level folders.THIS IS A CHANGE that is bad! 2. Previously when one changed folders to find new mail the window into the folder would hold the subject lines for the new mail. The changes at 115 do not, positioning the view arbitrarily! I have tried to install a previous version (which was perfect) but your system insists on giving me the latest version - a typical Google trick!

Not a situation I can live with. After 20 years I need another provider!

I like the way that unread message numbers are highlighted in the left hand pane. I miss the unread message number of the selected folder that was in the lower right hand side of the window. What is the maximum number of messages that can be in a folder? With the new version when I delete a message or move a message to a folder the message window jumps to a new location. I have to scroll back up to get to the next unread message. This should be fixed, the last version did not do this.

Let me see if I can put this into words. To put it simple, my e-mail is not working any more, since I installed your last update. I've tried everything, and it still won't work. My incoming seems like it is working, but the outgoing e-mail always come up with a box that states in it enter password, and I clicked on the box that says remember password (sometimes), but it keeps on going back to that page. So what I have been doing lately is sending out my e-mail on the web server. And I am always wondering if they are going to come through on your program? Is there any help you could give me to fix this?

Wow, just run Thunderbird and suddenly instead of 1200 or so messages in my inbox there's only one! Looking in "C:\Users\Test\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\98v8wen0.default\Mail\pop3.orcon.net.nz there's Inbox folder with size 1661360 KB In the same folder there is also inbox.msf of 186 kb . Both have today's date. Although I don't see any other inbox has TB changed to a new mail folder ? Anyone have any ideas please? Thanks

I'm encountering a synchronization issue with my emails in Thunderbird and would greatly appreciate your guidance and advice. My use case is as follows:

I use Thunderbird as my primary email client to manage my Gmail account. I have a large number of messages in my Gmail inbox, and I am trying to archive older ones to free up space in the inbox and keep it manageable.

Here’s the workflow I am following:

   I archive a set of older messages from my Gmail inbox (e.g., messages older than six months).
   Later, I decide I need some of those archived messages back in the inbox. I move those selected messages back to the Inbox using Gmail’s web interface.
   I notice that Thunderbird synchronizes these 'recently moved' messages back to the Inbox, even though they are older messages, seeming to prioritize them in the synchronization process.

My issue is that these 'recently moved' but older messages appear to be treated as recent by Thunderbird, getting synchronized, while other messages that are indeed more recent (by reception date) aren't immediately synchronized.

My questions are:

   Is there a way to make Thunderbird synchronize strictly based on reception date and not on when messages were moved or modified?
   Are there specific settings I should adjust in Thunderbird to achieve this desired synchronization behavior?

I appreciate your help and guidance in advance. I've gone through the documentation and support forums but haven't found a clear answer to this specific issue

I have just recently moved and lost access to all my @shaw.ca accounts. I've created 2 new gmail.com accounts.

I've got both gmail accounts functioning in Thunderbird properly.

Here's my 2 issues... 1-I used to be able to hit "get messages" and have all 7 of my accounts checked with 1 click. Now I have to click the arrow beside "get messages" and select "get all". Is there some way to default the stupid button to just check everything?

2-I have a "local folders" folder, followed by a LOT of sub folders. Instead of using the "inbox" in local folders, both of my gmail accounts have their own folders and I can't seem to find a way to make them use the local folders collection. When I set up the accounts in Thunderbird I selected the choice to store emails on my PC and not to sync with gmail.

I'd love some help. Thanks for your time.

Up until yesterday all good. Now cannot send emails from within Thunderbird. If I go to the providers "Webmail" site I can generate and send emails. Error message I get is as follows The mail server responded: mf-505: Sender Policy - Relay Denied. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again. I have iinet as the server provider. I have checked their recommended SMTP settings and they are correct. Nothing else has changed since the day before yesterday. No upgrades that I am aware of, so very confused.

I had one email with a blank subject line, and blank message pain, and when viewing the source, just 4 header lines, and no other content.

Following advice from troubleshooting threads, I right-clicked the folder, opened "Properties" and clicked "Repair folder" Now there are more blank emails, blank subject and message pane that were working before.

Hi and thanks in advance for your help. For some reason emails sent to either trash or spam are immediately disappearing. They are not in either folder. This is in all mail accounts both pop and imap. I have multiple accounts. I do not have delete on exit checked in the settings. If i delete an email it just disappears, it does not go to the trash folder. Same for spam.

I do not understand why this started, it is something new within the last 2 weeks. This is on Windows 10 I am using the latest ver. but it started before the update. Any help on fixing this is appreciated.
