Can I download and try before I decide to give up on Outlook & gMail?
Hi,
I would like to try it out without it receiving emails until I'm sure I want to make the switch from Outlook and gMail. How would I do that?
Can it be the "front end" for most/all of my other email accounts?
Thank you, Rod

I am not sure what "try without email flowing through Thunderbird" means. Email clients connect to your providers server. Depending on if you are using IMAP or POP determines how it reacts with the server.
Download it and try it. If you do not like it, uninstall it.
I do not use Outlook so I cannot say if the two are alike.

The software is free.
Thunderbird is email client software not an email provider.
if gmail is your provider and you give that up, you have no email.
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

Thank you, I understand that part. But, what if I want to just try without having my email flow through Thunderbird until I'm sure it is going to be my email client? I want to get a sense of it's look and feel.
Also, does it have a notes function like Outlook?
Thank you, Rod

Thanks again Airmail! I guess that's what I'll do.
