Spell Check Still Not Working Correctly
This has been an ongoing issue for some time now. When I mistype a word in Gmail, and then go back to correct the spelling, part of the correct word still has a red underline below it, suggesting it's a misspelling. I have updated to Firefox 19 and the problem still persists. I love Firefox but it's getting to the point where Mozilla developers apparently don't care to fix these problems. it used to work fine, I think before Firefox 17 or so. Please advise. Is there something I need to update or change in order to make this work?

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I believe so. 812638 appears to be the bug in question.
I had the same problem and solved it by uninstalling Firefox 23 and all its data and downgrade to Firefox 22. Now the spell checking is working correctly! If a developer is reading this, please check the issue. My computer has Windows 8 64bit.
