Dark mode hide mail colors
I notice that in dark mode highlighted text and color text are rendered as normal white text. This behaviour broken UI experience because those style are used to give more importance to some text and in this way this intent is totally lost.
I attach some example switch from dark to light mode.
I think that is useful adding an option to use dark mode without overwrite this type of colors

This is already known and reported to Bugzilla. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1993913
One issue that needs to be taken into consideration is that some coloured text may not be visible or render it difficult to read. I've had people colour the text in a colour which on a dark background is barely visible but on a white background stands out. In your example: Black text with pale/mid yellow highlight stands out; there is good contrast, but how would the text appear if it was white text with yellow highlight. The yellow highlight would be ok, but how easy would it be to read the text! So maybe any highlighted text would also need to know what colour is set for font in that specific area, thus keeping the colour of the font - but that may not be written in the html by sender, it may be set as generic black font throughout email. Links are coloured.
The answer is not as simple as it may seem. We shall have to wait and see if this is something the developers can sort out.
Oh wanderfull, I'm new for Thuderbird so I apologise for duplication. I understand difficulties, I hope developers sort a way of manage this.
