How do I keep Firefox from opening new windows as full-screens?

mglarson1

Now when I click on something in Firefox, for example a Facebook post, it opens in full-screen mode, not just in the selected window size. When the new window opens in full screen, it covers other stuff already on the desktop. It's f'ing annoying. How do I choose to have new windows open at the existing window size?

Settings control if to open in a new tab or a new window.

The Window size is an OS issue which is usually a memory so try makin one smaller , close and open again to see if the size is being remembered.

The settings only give a choice of another tab or window

Settings > Tabs and browsing > Open links in tabs . . . .
