I endeavoured to send an email this afternoon, and subsequent emails and received a message saying: sending message failed. A required TLS feature is missing. I have no idea what this means or how to fix the problem. I have not had this problem before and have used Mozilla Firefox for several years. Please don't be too technical as I am barely computer literate. Thank you. Dave Hill

Thunderbird uses your email server settings to send and receive email. TB by itself rely on the mail server to do it email sending and reeving. By check with the email provider about connection issues.
