When I play a video in VLC (latest version), or music in WinAmp (yes, it's old but I love it) and load a page in Firefox, this interferes with the video/audio in VLC, or the audio in WinAmp. I tried fiddling with the performance "Enable hardware accelleration" in Firefox settings, but that didn't change this behaviour. How can this be fixed?

Everytime I'm using omnisearch from gitlab ("/" key) tab crashes which lead to forcing firefox to restart.

I tried to troubleshoot by going to about:profiling, it appears that tab goes 100% cpu.

What I tried :

• new profile
• Refresh firefox
• no addons mode
• reinstalling
• Trying with firefox beta 142.0

Doing this on Firefox 141.0 (aarch64) on a Macbook M2 pro sequoia 15.6

Hi, I have a Windows 11 Home 64bit and I am using the latest version of Firefox 141.0 64 Bit.

This issue isn't just on the latest version though, it's been happening for a long time and i can't seem to find why.

I will click on my Firefox bookmark and the page will show up fine as normal, quite often, I will then click on a link within the page and nothing happens, I can see at the tab it's showing it's trying to load, but this just stops after a while. I don;t get an error page etc.. it just stops and goes no further.

This issue seems only to happen on Amazon.co.uk I don't seem to have this issue with any other site, which is odd, as it seems an issue specific to that site.

If I leave it a while, eventually the link will just start to work, and then the rest of the site seems fine, then out of the blue, it might start doing it again.

I have tried things like clearing the cookies for the site, clearing cache etc but still seems to happen.

Does anyone know what it could be?

I had to rebuild my Windows 11 this week. Since installing Firefox, streaming videos in Youtube are distorted with significant tiling during the first few seconds. The video has to be rewound manually to see the beginning unhindered, sometimes rewound several times because the tiling still happens, albeit less so with each rewind. I had to rebuild the Windows 11 because some mysterious problem, possibly from a Windows update a couple of months ago, caused a growling hardware contention noise during video or video games that would cycle through several harmonic levels and sometimes move across the stereo plane. Just before the rebuild it became continuous and untennable. The rebuild did not get rid of that problem completely, but there have only been a couple of tiny hardware contention noises since then. This tiling of Youtube video is brand new. The system is pretty much the same now as it was before the rebuild. I still have the old OS on another internal drive so it would be possible to compare files. I just want to know why all of a sudden Firefox is showing this momentary tiling in Youtube. I tried Chrome and there was no titling. Thanks for your time.

Hello, Beijing Firefox is closing. I have to sync my data by myself. I know some options. But only one is suitable for me. Other suggestions are welcome.

1. Use Firefox global account. My network to global account may be not reliable. 2. Self host Firefox sync server. Too complicated 3. Travel my profile manually. Easy for me, and may be automated by my home computer which is a WebDAV server.

I'm using 3. But I find a big folder "Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\fgrfgcgt.default-release\storage\default" It is 2.65G which is a bit big. I can exclude/delete it from my auto backup?

since i did the update, the website https://www.thediscerninglistener.com.au/membersaccess https://thediscerninglistener.com.au/acousticanalysisandtreatmentcalculator#acoustic-analysis-treatment-calculator doesnt open, but with chrome and edge it works perfectly, why can i access a favorite website and it's features with Chrome and Edge but not with firefox?? i'll start using chrome as my default browser shall i?

I'm experiencing an issue where I cannot access the microphone allowance within my Firefox browser. They appear to be completely missing. My FireFox is completely new.

Could you please assist me with this? I've attached a screenshot to help illustrate what I'm not seeing and seeing on Google Translate. It doesn't even ask me if I can use it.

Firefox usually opens my saved tabs and tab groups, but sometimes it randomly fails to do this and I have to spend time trying to reset them. How can I restore these, please, and make sue that they will be available whenever I re-open Firefox (which is my favourite browser)?

How do I turn off AutoPlay for videos. I have followed the basic steps on "Permissions".

The site that seems to violate the AutoPlay is wsj.com -- The Wall Street Journal. I do not see that they have the option of turning off AutoPlay on their settings page. I don't understand how they override Mozilla's settings.

Please inform.

CAn not sign in to Nascar Fan Rewards website yet I have no problem using EDGE browser, Webpage opens an click on Sign in and the area it would normally show up is Blank. I have Ad blocker turned off This problem just recently started a few weeks ago so I use Edge browser to log in, that but is getting old Same thing happens on Wheel of Fortune website to when entering certain contest, not all ?

I'm experiencing an issue with Firefox Sync that has become increasingly frustrating over time. Every time I reinstall Firefox on a new system and sign in to my Mozilla (Firefox) Account, not all of my previously selected settings are restored, only some of them appear to sync correctly.

For clarity, I have Sync configured to include only the following:

• Bookmarks
• Add-ons
• Settings

I intentionally do not sync:

• Passwords
• History
• Addresses
• Open tabs
• Payment methods

Despite syncing "Settings," many of my custom configurations (such as certain privacy preferences and UI tweaks (customized toolbar) do not get restored. This forces me to manually go through all the settings each time, compare them to my previous setup, and reconfigure Firefox, which defeats much of the purpose of having a sync feature in the first place.

I have never faced this issue with Chromium-based browsers, where settings sync tends to be more comprehensive and consistent.

My questions:

1. Why are some Firefox settings not included in the sync process?
2. Is there a documented list of which settings are actually synced when "Settings" is enabled in Sync?
3. Are there any plans to improve the completeness of settings synchronization in future Firefox releases?

Any insight or official guidance would be greatly appreciated. I really value Firefox, but this ongoing sync limitation is making it harder to maintain a consistent browsing experience across devices.

For years I have had a second monitor with Twitch or YouTube active while gaming. Now, for the past week, whenever I am tabbed into any game my video will freeze. Audio is unaffected. I have tried network.http.throttle.version to true or false, and network.http.throttle.enable to false. Hardware accel is off. Either setting seems to have no effect. What else can I try to fix this issue?
