Just installed Firefox for macos Monterey.
On the "Home" tab in preferences, it lets me enter "https://www.bing.com" for the Firefox Homepage. Then for New Tab it lets me select "Firefox Homepage".
However when I open a new tab, I still get Firefox page with a Google search box.
What am I don't wrong? Thx

I am on endeavourOS (linux). Whenever I try to upload images for a profile picture to sites like youtube or X, the image becomes corrupted and doesn't upload correctly. It did this with whatsapp too and I had to use a separate app for it. Other posts said that disabling "privacy.resistFingerprinting" would fix it, but it's already disabled.
Attached below are an example of this bug and the contents of this image when viewed on a text editor.

Suddenly, two of my email accounts are showing blank messages on Firefox, but are fine on other browsers. I'm using Firefox 128.1 ESR. I recently updated Firefox from 128 ESR to 128.1 ESR.
On one of them Ctrl-A highlights the main body of the email (GMX Mail) and then reloads itself and shows okay, but I'm not going to continue to use it like that.
The other one, I can manually highlight the otherwise invisible text, but then it just goes away again, and this is my main email (Proton Mail), so it is unusable in Firefox.
How do I remove the last ESR update? Do I have to switch browsers permanently or is this fixable?
Thanks, AnneF

Back in the days it was always possible to change Proxy port number (or, I believe, any other numeric value) by moving the mouse scrolling wheel when the cursor is placed inside the related field. I don't know whose intelligent decision it was to disable this functionality, but it has gone since the last update (v130.0). Now the window scrolls regardless of the cursor position. It looks like it works fine, but for those who are used to this kind of functionality, it turns out to be inconvenient.
Please, roll this back before it's too late :) Thank you.

This was ALSO occurring BEFORE I switched to ESR, in both types of windows (Private & Standard):
A click to open a website link results in Firefox doing a runaway, unstoppable, rapid opening of tab after tab after tab. The only way I have found to stop it is to close Firefox entirely, losing the tabs I was working with in addition to the runaway tab openings. Any solution?

Since switching to 128.2 ESR, my GMX email website no longer works EXCEPT in Private Windows, while the OneTab Extension ONLY works in Private Windows. My two most frequently used apps, that I have opened and pinned all the time, won't work in same window type. This renders Firefox nearly useless to me. Can you help?

Mozilla foxfire has been my go to web browser for many years but recent problems that have developed with printing from the web browser is forcing me to go to another browser.
As you will notice from the screen print when printing the browser creates open space to the bottom from the first two lines. that is no matter what is being printed.

The amount of memory firefox takes is drastically higher (2GB + tabs and extensions) on Apple Silicon when compared to having the same tabs open on windows or linux.
When I look into the memory tree generated at `about:memory`, it seems that the `heap` is allocated nearly 1.5GB.
I am just a computer science student at the moment but that seems unusual to me. Please find the attached memory-report.json.gz file here

Hello, and apologies in advance if I am missing something that would easily solve this problem. The other day, I was trying to open Firefox like normal and noticed my 100+ tabs were all gone. It was tough since I needed many of those for work and academic purposes, and couldn't seem to recover the window properly without having to manually click through history to get every tab back. I worked on getting these back for about an hour, and couldnt get every tab back in its entirety, unfortunately. I looked through these forums and Reddit for solutions and kept seeing that a fresh reinstall could help, so I did so. I kept getting a message saying that I had an "old version", so maybe I accidentally got an old version. I couldn't avoid the error, so I did an uninstall via Window's uninstall panel in settings. When I opened the new install of Firefox back up, all of my bookmarks are completely gone, all 11,000+ of them, in fact. Again, a lot of these are needed for future work purposes, so it's a bit frustrating that its all just kinda...gone. I tried finding backups, but the latest ones are from the reinstall, 9/13/24. I can't find a profile either that has the previous bookmarks, which is worrisome. I tried logging into Firefox on my phone- same deal. However, my history is intact, as well as all of my saved autofill passwords. I can't find old profiles from that old install (that I assume were deleted with that uninstall. Probably should have been more careful before that, since I got the impression sync would work, lol) that aren't before 9/13. I tried syncing in settings, logging in and out of my sync profile that I've had since I first got Firefox on my computer. Is there anything I can do about this? How come the bookmarks are all gone, yet the rest is just fine?
