Well I saw an email and it said I needed to update my browser and I thought that would fix some things that were wrong like Page Info not opening on some tabs... Well it made it worse... Yahoo pretty much took over my browser.. When I first opened after I installed the new browser it took me to there homepage (Easily fixed) but theres still things like the yahoo symbol in top right, When I open things on a page it opens a new firefox browser.. Is there a way I can just reset anything that has been done and go back to what I had before I installed?

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.

  • Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Well I tried what you said and all it did was reset the homepage to yahoo again and what not... But what I did find out on my own, I found out how to remove the yahoo symbol in the top, got the homepage back to normal, and got new tab back to normal using the about:config thing... I may need to download a new firefox or something because if I reset this one it's core is still going to be yahoo... If that makes anysense... As of now everything is pretty much solved.. Some problems may show up but I think I've found out how to hide em I suppose
