My bank, wells fargo, says there is a problem with security and won't allow access to my accounts online

Would appreciate resolving this firefox error of a security breach with my Wells Fargo account. It is also interfering with my correspondence with the project owner of a San Francisco home who resides in Tokyo, Japan but is renovating his family's new home in San Francisco, CA.

Please provide a screenshot of the error message you receive.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

This can possibly be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If content is missing or otherwise not working when a secure https connection is used then check if there is a shield icon to the left of the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar indicating that content is blocked.
