Can receive but not send Outlook.com emails

Infidelus

I set up a new Outlook.com account around a month ago. I initially had problems both receiving and sending but resolved that after enabling the IMAP option on the Outlook Web pages.

I have checked the SMTP settings and they are correct, and the connection test succeeds. Sending via the Outlook Web page works correctly.

For reference, I am using Thunderbird 153.3.1esr (64-bit) on Linux Mint.

Just for additional information, I also posted this question on Microsoft Learn and added a few additional screenshots and a little extra information - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/6022637/recent-outlook-com-account-cannot-send-email.

From the reply on Microsoft Learn, I have also looked at the linked Thunderbird guide for OATH - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 and disabled blocking on my Pi-hole and disabled uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger in Firefox while testing. 'Accept cookies from sites' is enabled in Thunderbird and there are no entries in 'Exceptions'. I also downloaded Thunderbird-157.0.1 from the official website and set up my Outlook account in that version, and the same issue persists.
