My bookmarks have disappeared from my firefox and I can't resave

Yesterday morning when I pulled up my firefox browser all my bookmarks had disappeared from the bar, from the list and from my home page. I have tried to re-add the bookmarks and it will not save them. Please help!

This doesn't sound like a Firefox iOS (=mobile) question.

If this is a desktop issue, basically start with shutting down your system and rebooting, to see if any file locks release, and the bookmarks can load again.
