What server settings are you using for the Outgoing Server SMTP ?

Apparently the webpage - https://www.optus.com.au/support/answer?id=1434 says to use Outgoing SMTP

  • DEscription - suggest you enter full email address
  • Server name: mail.optusnet.com.au
  • Port: 25
  • Connection Security: STARTTLS
  • Authentication Method: Normal Password
  • Username : Your email address/username should always be entered in full (eg: username@optusnet.com.au)

Password - same password you use to access webmail account via a browser.

It does mention that non authenticated emails has a restriction of 1 per day. So make sure it's all set up as correctly authenticated.
