Hello Mozilla Support,

Since 2 upgrades ago, anytime I try to watch a livestream, my browser slows right down and then crashes.

I don't care why its happening, I just want a definitive fix for the issue.

I'm so aggrieved at this happening constantly, if you cannot provide a firm resolution to this issue, i will simply move to another browser.

I've tried your about:config setting restart to false and other fixes but still keeps happening.

I await your reply.

With Regards,

Mark

Can you post a screenshot of the Task Manager Performance Tab? Just curious...

The links are sites explaining the Firefox's Project Fission. This is the reason for the processes you see in task manager. You can turn fission off by setting it to false on the about:config page. see screenshot Here is more info. https://www.ghacks.net/2016/02/15/change-how-many-processes-multi-process-firefox-uses/

Hello Zeroknight and Jonzn4sUSE,

Firstly, thanks for getting back to me.

Secondly, It is now happening whether I'm live streaming or not.

I've attached the last crash report from 11/01/2024 and a screenshot of Process Explorer showing the multiple processes I have running right now.

Slowing my PC down no end.1

I will try turning Fission to false and see what happens.

I've set Fission to False, I closed and reopened my browser, and Process Explorer showed 7 processes running when I didn't have a single web page running!

You can visit about:processes in the address bar (Shift+Esc) to see the purpose of each process.

Regarding your crash, make sure your Windows page file is set to automatic or system managed size.
