What happened to firefox's adblockers on youtube? Why do they no longer work as of October 26 ??
I booted up firefox and clicked on youtube and I got the message please diseable your adblocker. I specifically came back to firefox after a year or 2 of not using it because I read that it will be intependent and will have working adblockers on youtube even when Microsoft edge,Opera and other browsers will bend the knee to Google. So what happened??? Why did the adblockers stop working on mozilla firefox? I have windows 11 and ublock origin as my add blocker. As it was recommened by most sites saying it was the best way to dodge youtubes anti-adblocker system. But now my adblocker no longer works on youtube.

I followed the instructions of the Ublock origin team and U block origin started working again. For now. I hope it keeps working.
Youtube evidently keeps changing how its anti-blocker works. See the Reddit thread linked below (remove the blank space).

Thank you Terry. This is the fix I also found through googling and it "kinda works". If you want to watch a video with right click --> open on new tab. The youtube message will appear. BUT!! If I refresh the new tab then the Ublock origin starts working again and it blocks the message along with the advertisements. This process makes the loading speed a bit slower but It is 100% worth it. I refuse to pay for youtube's shinanigans
Today youtube updated their anti-ad blocker algorythm again. Now ublock origin does not work again.
Quick update. I just went and clicked update fitlers on the Ublock origin and it works again. With a couple of problems. But it still works
Weird things here on my end.
No problems with Firefox on Linux (tried MX and SpiralLinux).
Firefox with uBlock on Windows works and does not work, depending on the day. Waterfox and Midori on Windows don't seem to have that problem. And yet, they have same extensions as Firefox! Go figure!
