Photo autoloader (with eBay or Craig's List) fails to load image with FF
I had this issue and was not certain where the problem occurs, either the browser, my computer, or the applications involved. I could not find the problem by googling a solution so I tried to isolate the source of the problem. The images are not the issue; I can move and view them using a variety of apps. I shutdown and restarted windows 10, cleared cookies and data, and tried another browser (Chrome was downloaded and opened as a guest) . That's where I finally had some success. I was able to login to eBay and upload photos. I believe something is corrupted with FF. Has this type of problem been noticed and resolved before?

Hi Carl, that stripey image in the last screenshot is characteristic of the privacy.resistFingerprinting feature. That feature prevents sites from extracting an image from an HTML canvas in the page. If there is a site where you want to disable this protection, check the address bar for a new icon that looks like a picture. That buttons lets you make an exception for the current site.

To further add, I tried to load images to support this issue and the FF "Add Images (optional) " also fails to auto load. I took screen shots of all these problem results and wanted to show you what was happening.
Tried again; one from CL is attached and the eBay failure image just never loads.

trying to load more images.... so here's maybe a clue....the FF upload failed the first message (no attachment), then second message it attached the previous image, but fails to add the second image, .....then this third message, I uploaded the previous message failed attempt (the eBay failure was the second image that didn't load)...and now this message I attempted to upload the FF Support failed upload (a screenshot showing one image and the second the spinning daisy with Uploading "FF Support Issue Fail Upload.jpg"... )

Whoa! I don't understand your reply. As an example, eBay is the site I want to upload an image of the item I wish to sell. The process is simple, browse to the folder on my computer that holds the jpg image, click OPEN, and the eBay autoloader should upload that image. But instead it puts a grahic blank, so to speak (" that stripey image").
I know you're trying to help, but,

I don't understand; the eBay site? What address bar?

I am still unsure where this feature suddenly invoked itself, but now I understand better what was happening.
Nothing like a new computer "problem" to just make your day more frustrating......

Hi Carl, the privacy.resistFingerprinting feature is well hidden, but many users hear of it from a privacy guide on the web and enable it without knowing its full range of weird side effects. Unless you have time to research that now, I suggesting switching it back to false (see: Configuration Editor for Firefox).
If you keep it enabled, I think you figured out that the new icon I mentioned appears next to the lock icon to the left of the URL on the main toolbar (I call the section with the URL the address bar). It only appears when a site tries to extract an image from a canvas, so you may only see it very rarely.
