All of a sudden, my favorites tabs were not organized as I had set them up. Because I have many favorites tabs, the only a portion appear on the top of the screen (just below the address line). The extras could be accessed by clicking on the double arrows at the right end of the favorites bar. Suddenly, the order was all mixed up, and tabs that were not previously visible at the top now are, But all the tabs I had organized to appear there are off-screen. Whenever I try to fix this, after about 30 seconds or so, the tabs rearrange back to how they were. Why is this happening and how can I fix it? Thanks!

Hi, there is possible corruption in some files. Please try this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

If the issue returns it is in your Profile : Create a new profile as a TEST to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem. Never work with original files.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync temporarily during troubleshooting.

Note that you can restore an older backup from the bookmarkbackups folder.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
