thunderbird is no longer importing mail from my comcast.net acct
up til yesterday all was fine, email auto download as normal, now i get error "Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server mail.comcast.net responded: [AUTH] Authentication failed".my version is 52.6.0

I had the same results off and on all day yesterday but it is working fine today with no changes by me. I think Comcast was having issues. This outage reporting site confirms Comcast issues. http://downdetector.com/status/comcast-xfinity
